Game Art (BFA)
As a Game Art major, you’ll apply your imagination and creativity to the challenge of taking video game art to the next level—literally. Learn to develop the graphic assets that define visual aspects of games including environments, props, characters, animations, user interface and visual effects—everything that brings the game experience to life!

Game Business & Publishing (BS)
This major teaches you the business drivers that can make or break a game. As a Game Business & Publishing student, you’ll learn the foundations of great business practices with a focus on the specific opportunities, markets, and challenges of the game industry. By graduation, you’ll be ready to bring any game, feature, or strategy to this $150 billion-per-year market.

Game Design (BS)
As a Game Design major, you will learn to map, develop, and create the gameplay that defines a player’s unique game experience. Excel in the complex and interdependent parts of the game production cycle including system, level, and narrative design. Our program attracts some of the most promising Game Design students in the country, and many of our graduates go on to work in AAA studios.

The game industry needs people with an aptitude for business, strong communication skills, and a passion for video games to manage the game production process. As a Game Production Management student, you’ll develop essential skills for organizing, motivating and overseeing groups of game artists, designers, and programmers through the end-to-end production cycle.

Game Programming (BS)
One of the first bachelor’s degrees of its kind in the nation, Champlain’s Game Programming degree combines game-specific courses with computer science and software engineering to produce a highly versatile and in-demand skill set. You’ll learn to write the code that transforms game art and conceptual game design ideas into complex characters and full-blown game worlds.

In one of the first academic programs of its kind in the country, you’ll develop as a narrative and experience designer while building the experience you’ll need to adapt in a field that’s all about thinking outside of traditional storylines.
